Featured Wedding – Melissa and Kevin 6/7/13

Ah, Melissa and Kevin.  They were such a wonderful couple.  So happy to be getting married, so excited to share the day with their family and friends.  Melissa was worried about the weather.  Sometimes, no matter how much you plan, hope, and prepare for your wedding, the unexpected can happen.  In this case, it was rain.  Lots and lots of rain.  This was the ONLY wedding we had in 2013 that was dealt such a torrential downpour of rain that there was no way, not even with a tent, any part of the day would allow people outside.  At the rehearsal, we reassured Melissa that even if it did rain, she would be so caught up in the joy and celebration, it would hardly be noticed.  And looking back, Melissa agreed.

Melissa chose a bright, brilliant fuchsia for her bridal party dresses, and with the colorful accents of her decor, the interior of the mansion blossomed with a feeling of spring that equaled the magnificence of its outside lawns.  She even had a delectable candy table with a variety of delicious sweets that tantalized the guests throughout the evening.  With their wonderful personalized details, the day was truly a success from start to finish.
Melissa got ready upstairs in our Bridal Suite
And had bridal portraits done on the balcony
While Kevin and his men posed for pictures in the loggia
The ceremony, which was supposed to take place on the vista, was moved to the West Ballroom.
Following their “I do’s”, the couple posed for pictures upstairs on the balcony
And then in the West Ballroom with their bridal party
The reception was catered by Aqua Turf with the DJ talents of FM Productions.  Everyone had a wonderful time!  Rain? What rain?!
Congratulations Melissa and Kevin!  It was a joy to be part of your special day!  We wish you all the best.

Featured Wedding Video – Kayla and Brendon on September 2013

Kayla + Brendon from vividography.com on Vimeo.

This wedding was simply stunning with so many details that were thought of and executed by the bride, her mom, and her friends and family.  We loved the little touches and the big and this video captures all of them. Congratulations to the bride and groom!

Featured Wedding – Kimberly and Jason 8/3/13

The wedding of Kim and Jay was truly a beautiful thing.  The bride was simply stunning, the groom; handsome, the details; divine, but there was something that really enhanced this day beyond the wedding decor.  And that was Kim and Jay’s genuine excitement of getting married.  We’ve seen so many happy couples but when a bride walks into the mansion for her final meeting with this expression on her face:
you know this is someone who has moved beyond the details, the seating charts, and the floral arrangements.    Brides like Kim, who carry around so much joy and excitement, remind us why being in this business is so awesome.
On the day of the wedding, everything went flawlessly.  Coastal Gourmet planned a delicious menu that included the largest and most delicious plate of paellea we’ve ever seen. Floral Illusions made beautiful arrangements and Keith Alan Productions produced fantastic music for the party.
Kim got ready at the Inn at Middletown which made for some stunning pictures.
Jay and his groomsmen arrived at the mansion for some time (and pictures) with the guys
Then Kim arrived for their “first look”.  The photographer, Eric Foley, coordinated for them to first see each other on the west side of the back lawn.
Love the look on Jays face here
Then the wedding party headed out to the vista where the ceremony was taking place for a few more pictures.
The ceremony space had some really special touches that is worth sharing
With everything in place, the ceremony began…
Following, Kim and Jay took the opportunity to use the mansion grounds for more pictures.
And then the party began!
Now, here is one giant plate of paella!
Congratulations Kim and Jay.  It was truly an honor to host your wedding at the mansion.  We wish you many years of happiness!
