Event Supervisor

Hours: Ranges from 24-32 hours a week
Events are scheduled on Friday, Saturday & Sundays. Occasionally corporate and non-profit events are scheduled on weekdays. Shifts range from 4-11 hours.
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Dress Code: Professionally dressed for an office or event environment.

 

The role of the Event Supervisor is to be present during events at the Wadsworth Mansion, opening and closing the Mansion for the vendors and guests and ensuring that all the Rules and Regulations as set forth in Schedule B are followed. The Event Supervisor assists in the execution of the event ensuring client and guest satisfaction. Additionally the Event Supervisor is an assistant to the Director of Events and Executive Director in performing duties to ensure the overall smooth operation of the Wadsworth Mansion.

 

The duties include, but are not limited to:

 

Meet with Bride/Celebrants/Event Planner prior to event to go over details, including:
Attend/run rehearsals
Confirm vendors, timelines, and floor plans

 

Be present at events and perform the following duties:
Represent the Long Hill Estate Authority

Ensure Mansion is ‘Guest Ready’
Assist customers and vendors in the preparation of the event
Ensure that the Rules and Regulations of Schedule B are followed by the customer and guests
Communicate to cleaning personnel any specialized instructions for preparing mansion for the next event
Communicate any damages to building, or problems during an event
Secure the building at conclusion of event

 

Sales and Marketing:

Perform sales tours to guests and potential customers as requested

Maintain Bride Pendeflex program

 

Assist Director of Events and Executive Director with administrative and event planning duties:
Ensure all mansion property is secured to prevent loss
Maintain inventory of sales and marketing collaterals
Assist Executive Director and Director of Events on special projects

 

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Must be available to work all nights and weekends during wedding season
  • Candidate must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to deal with a variety of personalities
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office including excel
  • Must have experience managing social media accounts
  • Must have good communication skills
